Data and Analytics Lead role
This consultancy is now looking for an experienced analytics and data science leader, to continue expanding capabilities in this area. The role will work closely with strategy, insight, creative and tech experts to craft bespoke solutions that help clients answer their customer, commercial and operational questions.
The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and is excited to help grow the overall client offer and the role of data and analytics within that. They will have significant business strategy and consulting experience and be passionate about driving analytics from a client solutions perspective.
You will drive forward and lead the delivery of their existing work in this area and will be motivated by the opportunity to mentor and develop the capabilities of the existing highly skilled and well-respected team of people. You will be excited to support the team in delivery of complex projects, working alongside others to co-create exciting new future solutions that expand existing offer and capabilities.
Experience in R, Python and SPSS is required, with the ability to code independently and conduct code reviews for the rest of the team. Familiarity with survey data and the survey process would also be an advantage.
Your skills and experience
They are looking for someone that can be a champion for the role of data science and analytics in the overall offer and who will take a leading role both internally and in delivering for their clients. The successful candidate will therefore need to be comfortable in client situations, including dealing directly with senior clients to C-suite level. This will include writing new business proposals and pitching.
A broad range of expertise is welcome, although sectors like luxury, hospitality, retail, tech and education would be an advantage.
You should have a versatile and adaptable skillset, with an eye toward innovation and creative applications to existing client data.

− Comfort with financial and operational data (such as POS data and digital media/funnels/conversion).
− Experience with commercial modelling, business casing and scenario forecasting
− Predictive modelling and forecasting techniques

− Natural Language Processing methods
− Combining data sets gathered through primary research with existing client data sets
