JOB TITLE:                                            Senior Research Manager

REPORTS TO:                                     Project, Research or Account Director





Manage several projects concurrently and associated project teams to ensure client study objectives are met to high level in timely fashion.



Work as part of a team to deliver primary ad hoc market research projects

Develop knowledge of the therapy area on each project to ensure materials and findings are clinically relevant and to enable credible discussions with clients/stakeholders

Provide main point of contact with client and contribute to client meetings as appropriate with the support of a director

Design research materials to meet the client objectives with minimal guidance from a director

Be responsible for the day to day management of research projects to ensure all components are completed as required according to timelines and budget

Work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks to achieve internal and external deadlines

Adapt project plan and scope to meet changing client needs or situations as required

Provide guidance, support and mentoring of junior staff throughout the project

Moderate interviews and focus groups with clients observing and/or direct external moderators at CL days to ensure research objectives are met

Analyse transcripts &/or data to draw meaningful insights, conclusions and recommendations to address the research and business objectives

Develop the final report to create a visual, succinct, storylined presentation to answer the research and business objectives with minimal guidance from a director

Contribute to the development of strategic recommendations to guide the client on how to embed the insights into their marketing strategy, with support and guidance of a director

Deliver the final, verbal presentation and/or workshop to clients with support of a director

Take full personal responsibility and ownership to independently fulfil the requirements of your role

Deliver the highest quality of work possible within the constraints of timelines, budgets and individual capabilities

Maintain commitment, enthusiasm and focus throughout the project from kick off until successful delivery

Demonstrate knowledge of the pharma industry by putting research findings into the broader context of the client’s business situation

Demonstrate experience and knowledge of a broad range of MR methodologies / techniques, including advanced qual &/or quant approaches

Present yourself and the company in a confident, professional manner to create personal impact

Contribute to proposal development in response to a broad range of RFPs and design research approach to meet objectives with the support and guidance of a director

Day to day management of allocated line staff including appraisals, pay reviews, monitoring performance, personal development and training

Support senior management in recruitment, training and management of junior staff and other company initiatives as required

Make an active contribution to repeat business through effective delivery

Carry out any other duties commensurate with the role as required
