MY client is a UK based B2B and B2C market research company that specialises in IT/Technology surveys for thought leadership marketing campaigns. The company has seen strong growth over the last 20 years and is now looking for a Research Manager or Senior Research Manager to join its excellent team of researchers and be a part of the next growth plan. Its clients are mostly in-house marketers and PR /comms specialists in leading global brands such as Accenture, PwC, Capgemini, Amdocs, Fujitsu, HP and Ricoh (our PR clients serve the likes of Facebook, Bloomberg, Vodafone, Standard Chartered and more).
The position is a full time working from home role, you must be based in the UK and the ideal candidate would have at least 5 years + experience, mainly from research agencies in managing research projects.
A background of B2B research experience is preferred but not essential, though a interest to get involved in B2B is a must.
Project management Responsibilities
End-to-end project management of research studies of all sizes and methodologies of research programmes. The ideal candidate will be expected to take a hands-on approach to running research studies. This includes, but is not limited to:
Research Project Management
- Questionnaire design either from an initial client brief, or developing a draft from the client
- Discussion guide design, either to enhance or accompany quantitative research, or as a standalone in-depth research projects
- Prepare for and conducting internal meetings ranging from project team working sessions, to supplier briefings and kick-off calls
- Managing suppliers in terms of service quality, costs and timescales
- Working efficiently across a range of clients and projects, escalating or resolving any issues that could impact on data quality or timescales
- Pro-actively suggesting best practice to clients in terms of questionnaire design, sampling and data analysis. Adopting the position as a trusted advisor wherever possible
- Desk research to enhance project knowledge, and to add value to survey design, data insights and discussions with clients
- Staying across and up-to-speed on multiple projects, ensuring that each is actively managed and full status overview is provided in weekly team calls
- Flexibility in working styles and practices, able to adapt to a range of client needs
- Managing to time and budget all client programmes
- Data delivery and client management
- Generating research deliverables to Account Directors and clients in the form of either data tables, written reports, chart sets or presentations
- Analysing and interpreting data to identify patterns, trends and solutions to add greater value to reporting and analysis
- Conducting thoughtful and insightful analysis/preparation of charts for debriefs
- Leading or co-leading debrief presentations
